I so felt for the French. They played brilliantly and they’re really a casualty of the ridiculous groups (as were Scotland). I’m glad they’re changing it next time and drawing them closer to the time.

Will be an interesting weekend for us. We're in the UK for the, much anticipated, pre-Christmas family Airbnb weekend we've booked in Brighton. It will be the first time that we've managed to get R's daughter (A) and son (D) and their families together, under one roof, for the night. Saturday night. And D's partner, L, mother of R's youngest grandson, is South African! Not sure where little Aidan's loyalties lie. He's only 2.
