As an England fan I am dreading how badly they’re going to play. But as a rugby fan the prospect of 6 weeks of games on my telly is my idea of heaven and I intend to watch as much as possible.

I had no idea how long it was on for! The group draws are a bit dodgy though.

France v NZ should be an amazing opening game! Both potential finalists.

Now we have a rugby player back with us, I’m really looking forward to it.

Presuming that C isn't taking up vets stuff, this is brilliant news!

I'm not watching tonight's game but will certainly get involved over the weekend. The thing I love about world cups in field sports is the frist round group stage when the rubbish teams play one another. Nobody has any idea what is going on or who is likely to win, and that is what sport should be all about.

We're watching in France. New Zealand are playing a pretty rough game. It will serve them right if France win. Unfortunately, our ancient projector's resolution isn't good enough to cope with the small text on screen. So we have no idea who's on which team or how much time is remaining!

France vs NZ was an amazing match - not spoilering with the result.

Watched a lot of it today and it has been good!

Apart from England. Blimey. Red card aside, they look poor.

Well! That shows what I know.

That was an absoltuely insane display of defensive rugby, they have just destroyed Argentina.

They’ve been really interesting tonight. I don’t like this kind of rugby much though.

It gets the job done though, which is what was needed.

Australia v Fiji was so good! According to the commentator, the last time Fiji beat Australia was 1954!

Same but I was in a bar with some elderly Australian gentlemen who were so sweet, they sang the anthem with four-part harmonies. And now I feel bad for them!

Wales' biggest win over Australia. A dreadful tournament for the Wallabies.

Fuck 'em.

Don't get me wrong, I adore our rivalry with Australia when it comes to sport but it is based purely on good natured bragging rights. And this is one of those occassions.

True. But still, imagine flying halfway round the world to watch that sort of a massacre of your own team before your very own eyes. :))
