Oh, I was kind of hoping HRT might help... I hate having so little hair, you can see my scalp in some places.

It's different for everyone though, it might help you.

You could try testosterone, Dutchie. It has all sorts of health and cognitive benefits, but even quite minimal use can cause hair to sprout where you don't particularly want it so it might help head hair as well?

Hmmm, that's an idea! I'll have a word with my GP.

What's anyone's verdict on hyaluronic acid supplements? (I frigging hate that word as it reminds me of that bloody Eva Longoria advert.) Does it work? Supplement or directly on the chops?

I think it makes your skin look and feel better in the moment. Not sure about lasting benefits and I have never tried supplements.

I think it genuinely makes your skin look better though. The best way to use is is under moisturiser which you apply before it dries. I usually have a bottle of The Ordinary one on the go.

My skin doesn’t love HA, but I do reckon it works for most people. It’s good to apply on slightly damp skin.

I've been using a HA serum for quite a while now and I do notice a difference. Also, someone thought I was just over 40 last week whereas I'll be 52 this month, so it must be working!

I do take a powdered Bovine collagen daily, I stir it in my coffee and don’t notice any taste or smell. I have noticed an improvement in some joint pain I had since taking it.
I haven’t noticed much difference to my hair/skin/nails, but it’s the wrong collagen for that, that would be marine collagen. I’m not going to take that though, because I already have more hair than I know what to do with, plus although my nails are weak, what would really help them is if I stopped bloody biting the skin all around them, so I’m trying on that.
I have started using hyaluronic acid serum daily and have noticed a huge improvement on my skin, I just get the cheap The Ordinary one.

Ok, maybe I should try some HA on my face then rather than supplements. God knows I need to do something. (Yes kiwi, water, exercise, blah blah..)
