I've bought a couple of cashmere cardigans from M&S Autograph. I had put them away in mothproof bags as the weather was too warm, but I got one out today and am wearing it - Winter Is Coming!

I am otherwise going to resist buying woolies, as I have a million that I've knitted and need to get wear out of them. I live in jumpers and leggings/trousers in cold weather, so don't really need to buy much this year. I do much prefer cold weather clothing - it's so much more forgiving than summer clothes.

I have remembered my other item on the wish list is a dusky navy blue merino polo neck jumper. I am going to be highly specific about the colour. Like a slightly grey ish blueberry, not a French navy and no hint of reddy-purple. :)

I tend to think of nautical stripes & Breton tops as more Spring than Autumn, but I love them all the same. I just don’t get the urge to buy them at this time of year.

I feel stripes are more for spring too, esp navy ones.

I like other stripes for autumn though - black, white, caramel, beige, ivory all good! I recently replaced a burgundy and ivory cropped Saint James breton that Liv destroyed when she was a baby. My saved searches finally paid off! I'm excited to wear it again.

I fully respect your commitment, emma_p! I’m big into saved searches and people who list things well on resale sites.

I get your point, but I'm also seeing that style a lot right now with a Fall vibe and I like it. :) I wouldn't be wearing jumpers much in Spring, so it works for me!

It seems to be a thing for this season. It’s definitely a colour way distinction though.

Thanks to emma_p, I have now achieved an item on my list. I’ve bought a chocolate brown satin maxi skirt from M&S.

Sezane have a beautiful navy and cream jumper that has a matching skirt. I’m very tempted! The jumper is gorgeous on its own too.

emma_p wrote: Thu Sep 14, 2023 8:13 am Now the weather has finally turned I'm excited for jumpers, cardis, coats, boots, scarves etc!The shops seem to have loads of nice things at the moment - I think because the 90s/00s are back :perky:

I bought a new cardigan which I'm delighted with (now I have a non-moth holed one!) I do think it's too warm to wear it today but I really want to

I'm also on the look out for a a skirt/jumper co-ord set, the perfect pair of flat boots, a tan bag and maybe a mac/coat.

What’s everyone else coveting? :weewee:
Yes! Alll of the above, please. Showing my age, but I usual ly think Jigsaw has loads of nice stuff like that ever y year

I bought this, as Boden has a 20% discount. I am still wearing summer stuff as I go to Lisbon a week on Tuesday. Once I come back, I'll dig out my autumn/winter clothes.

That's lovely, sally! How is the length? I think you're around the same height as me? 5'1" ish?

ETA - just noticed it comes in petite!

That’s gorgeous Sally!

I’m on the lookout for some tan Mary Jane shoes and tan coloured trousers, ideally wide cut. I’d also like a cream and black striped jumper or cardigan.

That does look nice. I went back to TK Maxx to look for more French Connection knitwear but I think I’m going to go for a Uniqlo merino jumper (and a corduroy bag).
