Re: Facebook Muppets
So this is interesting!*
It’s on my local FB page. Imagine asking complete strangers to swing by your house and bring gifts.
Having said that T’s best friend’s mum has asked if they can do a drive by on Thursday am and another friend has just has invited us to do a drive by for her son’s birthday on Friday night. When did this become a thing??
* and by interesting I mean fucking weird.

Well, presumably that's a CV19 *thing* not a *thing thing* ?? I mean, I guess I could sort of see asking friends to do a little drive by to celebrate a kid's birthday (which isn't to say I'd suggest or participate in one) but y'know. Surely they're not actually asking complete strangers though?? It does read quite a lot like a way to wrangle as many gifts as possible whilst you can't hold a party.

A parade of friends is quite sweet if they're not travelling too far, but asking for presents seems a bit grasping.

Re: Facebook Muppets
Not Facebook, but a delightfully nonsensical review on the Boots website
Foot Creat -Eucerin Urea
This product is great for dry skulls of my stop. I have been sceptical to this product before use because it has already been another one of my product used. But everything changed when after a few days, I noticed the change. The softener has a skull. I have a problem with the rogovation of the heel and all the soles stop.. Although, with the use of cream I did not use any Tarek and pumexas, the cream itself led the feet to a very good, perfect one time thing I've never experienced. The Old feet were soft, long - term moisturizer, it's efficient. I recommend it all my friends . I am very pleased to apply why!

Yes! The one on FB is to the entire town. That’s the weirdest bit to me. The parade is otherwise sweet and even though I’m not organising one for T I think it’s a nice idea to get friends to do.
That’s definitely been run through some weird translator.

How completely bizarre. As if this kid is the only kid who might miss a proper birthday during this!

A friend of a friend (who seems to be some sort of wedding planner and/or consultant to wedding venues) is flogging a '20 page virtual baby shower guide' so that you can 'throw a spectacular online baby shower'. TBF it is only £4.99, but an online baby shower sounds abysmal, however you dress it up.

That’s exactly what it feels like. Although I can’t decide if I’m just being an old vinegar tits about it all.
A virtual baby shower does seem massively shit. I really do understand wanting to celebrate big milestones but some of it is too much.smalex wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 2:36 pm A friend of a friend (who seems to be some sort of wedding planner and/or consultant to wedding venues) is flogging a '20 page virtual baby shower guide' so that you can 'throw a spectacular online baby shower'. I suppose cobbling something together is one thing, but purchasing a 20 page guide to making it magical makes me cringe.

'I am asking people who love their daughter/daughters to join the challenge of posting a photo.'
Well I'm a bit indifferent to mine so I can't join in.

The other day someone shared something that said I should share if I had a sister I loved and missed during lockdown. But I didn't, so I must really not care about her.
