I think someone (Marmite?) did a project with them or something and claimed that was their internal tagline.

I like Monsoon stuff but my God it's expensive.

I also have quite a few things from there but I would only shop from there when I was in the UK at one of their stores, their EU website is dreadful at pricing, something that costs 20 pounds in the UK is often around 35 euros.Pippedydeadeye wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 8:31 am I have quite a lot of lovely clothes from Monsoon. Since they closed the local branches though, it’s been harder to shop there. But they always did good online service.

Re: The 2020 Death Pool
I used to buy from them years ago, and got a few lovely things for S when she was very small. They opened a branch in my home town about 10 years ago, and I found I hardly bought anything - the fit seemed to change, and nothing looked right on me, however good it looked on the hanger.
They did seem to lose their way at some point, and moved from the slightly hippy look they used to have to an odd mishmash of styles. Their beaded wedding/evening dresses always looked amazing on the right people, though, and I still wear a velvet coat I bought from them ages ago.
Anyway, it closed down and is now Phase Eight (or was, last time I walked past).

There’s a writer on Twitter bemoaning their demise and posting pictures of herself in their trousers.

I was never an enormous fan but the places for long legged people to buy trousers are few and far between. I'm terrified Dorothy Perkins will be next and have panic bought a couple of pairs of jeans.

DP have all but disappeared around here already. They used to be everywhere but I only know of one as a concession in a branch of Outfit (which might be on its last legs too given warehouse and oasis are gone) and one in a big Tesco.

I noticed the other day that Tu/sainsburys are selling some oasis stuff on their website, for anyone missing them.

Oh no! SB2 absolutely loved the Bob books. We went to see the Bob film as well. I don't think I can tell him.

He was only 66. In my head he was in his late 70s.

Yes, I thought he was much older than that.
