Stormy Saturday

Post by Luna »

Morning.

Hope everyone has survived the stormy start to the day. I managed to sleep through it. Well as far as 5 am ish.

Not sure what’s happening today now as plans have changed due to the weather.

Stay safe people!

Hope everyone is ok!

My buses to Bath are currently suspended, so no pizza lunch. :(

It sounds awful, they have even cancelled the Christmas Market here which is very rare. Hope everyone is okay.

I am currently stuck in bed for an enforced lie in by Tom, who is snoozing away on my lap. I needed to get up soon because it's a busy day for me with PT, a choir sing out and a Christmas party.

Did you get the emergency alert? I got one about wildfires when we were in Greece and I absolutely shit myself from the sound.

It's pretty ordinary bad-weather here, but we are well clear of the red/amber zone. I have no desire to get out of bed.

Morning!

Happy birthday eve to Liv, so happy birthday to emma_p!

I had a broken night’s sleep. Wine + C needing to go out & secure the garden gate. I’ve slept in to compensate.

Happy birthday Emma!

I'm knackered as I had to sleep with Topsy and Tim last night and there was not much room for three, plus Topsy kept waking up.

We've cancelled breakfast with Santa because the storm is still pretty bad, some roads closed and all our parks, zoo, farms, Christmas markets etc shut.

Happy birthday emma!

Lots of people can’t make pizza lunch so it has been postponed.

I’ve chased the delivery office (via a call centre somewhere where it took 2 minutes of automated menus to even get into a queue) as we’re still missing parcels that should have been delivered. Tracking said they were out for delivery on Thursday then it was updated to say they were ‘unable to attempt delivery’ and would try the next day, and nothing has changed since. And we did get other parcels delivered on Friday, but not the stash of vegan chocolate and Christmas cake that would have been perfect for a day like today!

Happy birthday Emma!

Weather isn't too bad here at the moment, just rain and the wind doesn't seem too bad. I've woken up with a sore throat so I'm just planning a day in the house. I'll read my book and catch up on telly.

I'm drinking coffee just now, and eating a bacon roll.

Happy Birthday Emma!

We’ve walked up to the pub for breakfast. It’s quite bracing out there! I’ve heard about 1 tree down in the village and the door has blown off a noticeboard but we seem to have got off lightly.

Morning.

I am awake after a very broken night's sleep due to the wind and the amount of alcohol I had to drink :look:

I got home just after 11.30 last night.

C is making a second coffee and a bacon and egg barm.

We have black wind and double rain forecast for all day which is a yellow weather warning.

Not sure if we are going but I promised I'd take mum to the big M&S. We'll see how she feels about that later.

Stay safe !
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just fuck off and leave me alone.

Morning! The storm wasn't too bad here, not like further down south. Still very windy, though, and the local news (for local people) says there are a few trees down. Stay safe everyone.

Happy birthday, emma!

Today holds watching motor racing, and nipping into Sheffield to see P. I could do with nipping to the shops but I don't think I can face the crowds.

It was really wet and windy here, and I know markets in town have been cancelled along with other events, but it seems to have calmed down now.

Happy Birthday Emma!

Morning pals. It’s very soggy and windy here. Luckily everything has withstood the elements and no trampolines or goal posts have taken flight. The field is getting very waterlogged though so we might need to move our sheep if it doesn’t ease off :(. That’s a blue job though :look: :))

We are supposed to be going out tonight with some friends but will wait until later to make a judgement call on that I think! I don’t think we’d even make it into a taxi without needing a change of clothes at the moment!
