Crafting Plans and Projects

Incorporating hobbies, computer games, Verm's Interesting Links and anything else you can think of excluding football and other spectator sports because these belong in the Sport section, but allowing sports you play yourself with your own body as that counts as a pastime.

Apparently my brother’s partner admired a Christmas pudding hat the one and only time we all met in person. So when my mum came across a pattern in my book she was flipping through and mentioned that, I suggested she make her one. Cute!

Will my 15-year-old, Star Wars-mad, step-grandson be mortified? I just sent him this ...

I went on a sewing workshop at the weekend (run by two ex-Sewing Bee contestants!) and made some culottes. They have darts, a proper waistband and a concealed zip (none of these things I've done before). They fit so well and I'm really pleased with them!

Do we get to know which contestants? I like your trews!

I’ve been using some old beads I picked up to make autumn brooches. They are really good for helping my mind empty.

A charity blanket I started a while ago and got very bored of.

It’s a combo of garter stitch, moss stitch and basket stitch.

I, at long last, finished the cushion cover that was a WiP for years to go with a blanket I made.

I finished this hoodie now my overlocker is behaving again. Also, a poncho I did recently and a wee cardigan and dress set for a colleague’s baby.

All lovely things! I've borrowed a friend's overlocker and it makes such a difference to finishing things off properly. I'm currently in the midst of making pyjama bottoms for everyone for Xmas – I think I should finish in time but as they are a surprise, I'm a bit concerned about the fit.
